McNabb Street / South Market Reconstruction
This project involves widening McNabb Street to five lanes at Black Road and extending South Market Street north across Trunk Road to meet McNabb Street. The work will span two construction seasons. McNabb Street will be closed from Black Road to Manitou Drive except to local traffic for the 2009 construction season.

Shannon Road – Wellington Street to Trunk Road
This is a full reconstruction project including: storm and sanitary sewers, watermain, road, sidewalk, and Hub Trail. The road is closed except to local traffic.

Third Line East Extension
This project is part of the overall Third Line Extension project to service the new hospital, involving full reconstruction of Third Line from its intersection with Great Northern Road to a point 1,000 metres east. The project includes: storm and sanitary sewers, watermain, road, sidewalk, and the Hub Trail. The road will be closed except to local traffic.

RESURFACING
The following resurfacing projects will take place over this construction season:

• Second Line from North Street to Old Garden River Road – will remain open during construction.
• Northern Avenue from North Street to Reid Street
• Old Garden River Road

BRIDGE REPLACEMENTS
Several bridges will also be replaced this summer. Roads will be closed at the bridges during construction and detours posted. Bridge construction projects include:

• Town Line bridge south of Base Line
• Sussex Road bridge
• Carpin Beach Road bridge south of Base Line
• Old Goulais Bay Road – two bridges south of Sixth Line
• Third Line Culvert Replacement – West of Maki Road. Third Line will be closed at this location until October 31, 2009.

Commuters are asked to obey signed detours and plan ahead for delays.
