Notice of Disruption - Enhancing accessibility of the ceiling track lift at the John Rhodes pool

The City of Sault Ste. Marie is providing notice to all citizens that the John Rhodes ceiling track lift in the universal changeroom, is currently unavailable until January 6, 2024. This closure is required to instal a new lift. During this time, there is no alternate service however, the accessible changeroom is available with a high/low change table.
The City of Sault Ste. Marie strives to deliver its services in a manner that respects the dignity and independence of persons with disabilities and is committed to ensuring everyone has the same opportunities to access its services. Information regarding the ceiling track lift is available from staff at the John Rhodes or by calling 705-759-5419. Information will be posted at the entrance of the building and at the service counter.
If you require use of the ceiling track lift to access the pool wheelchair and the pool, please contact the John Rhodes staff prior to attending in person to ensure the ceiling track lift installation has been completed.
