City to Distribute Household Survey for Community Well-Being

Monday, July 13, 2015

Over the next two weeks, the City of Sault Ste. Marie will distribute 750 survey packages to random households within the community, with the goal of gathering information regarding the well-being of people living in Sault Ste. Marie.

The survey contains brief questions pertaining to recreation activities, available support services, community involvement, neighbourhood relationships, and health, and safety. The collected data will be used to guide the development and improvement for community well-being and safety planning.

"The City of Sault Ste. Marie takes pride in its efforts to build a community where residents are happy, safe, and feel a sense of belonging. By reaching out for public comment, the Sault's many agencies and organizations can better determine priority areas for enhancement and improvement," says Mike Nadeau - the City's Commissioner of Social Services.

Households that receive a survey letter and package are encouraged to take the time to respond.

By working together, our community can continue to build strong relationships and safe neighbourhoods for a great place to live, work and raise a family!
