Unifor Local 1359 (Paramedics) Labour Disruption Update

The Ontario Labour Relations Board has deferred hearing the matter of the Essential Services Agreement between the City of Sault Ste. Marie and Unifor Local 1359 to April 4, 2018.
In the meantime, the City is hopeful that negotiations can continue next week to resolve the few remaining issues between both parties and result in a settlement for the entire collective agreement.
The City of Sault Ste. Marie values the important work paramedics do and will continue to negotiate an agreement in a responsible manner that is fair to our employees and affordable to the citizens of Sault Ste. Marie.
